In 2001, after identifying a critical market problem, our founder Brian Camelio launched ArtistShare, a scalable platform that reshaped how businesses engage audiences, monetize through community participation, and reduce market risk by securing funding before product completion, while other ArtistShare innovations anticipated the interactive, networked dynamics now central to social platforms and many other independent businesses.

Since then, models based on ArtistShare have collectively facilitated billions in funding across multiple industries, and the concepts remain commercially viable more than 20 years later.
